Halloween has never been my favorite holiday, so I’ve never really bothered doing much to celebrate it. (Well, that’s not entirely true. May all photos and costumes from college Halloween celebrations stay buried as long as we all may live.) But as I suspect will be true of all holidays from now on, I am now three to four million times more excited about the day and experiencing Halloween through Hudson’s eyes. As was evident by last week’s pumpkin patch trip, Hudson’s not exactly going to be doing much experiencing until next year. But even so, I’m definitely feelin’ it more than in years past and his first Halloween must be commemorated with a picture or two.

We’re still trying to decide whether to get him a real costume or whether the cute little onesie I picked up will cut it. Jason has one stipulation about any costume possibilities, and that’s that we don’t put him in anything “embarassing.”

I have no idea why he’d be worried about that. It’s not like I would, for example, dress my little bub in nothing but a pumpkin hat and his dipe, and prop him up in a hollowed-out pumpkin.

Ahem. Good thing I can live out my cheesy baby-photo dreams through this little guy in my most recent illustration, huh J?
